Saint Francis Xavier was born on April 7, 1506, in Spain. He was sent by the Portuguese king to spread Christianity in regions such as Goa, India, and Japan. On December 4, 1552, he passed away on an island near China. Following his death, his body was brought to a church in Old Goa. Currently, his mortal remains are displayed for public viewing every 10 years.
