या मासाची लांबी 40 इंच पर्यंत असते आणि वजन देखील 8 किलोपेक्षा अधिक असते. त्याच्या पाठीचा रंग निळा, काळा आणि हिरवा असतो.

हा मासाच्या तोंडात चारही बाजूने दात असतात. यामुळे त्याला शिकार करने सोपे जाते. हा मासा फॅट रक्त शोषतो . याचे दात अतिशय तीक्ष्ण असतात.
