The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) proposes to reserve 59 acres land of Hindustan Antibiotics Limited (HAL) for a multi-functional public ground. HAL has already initiated process for auction of 87 acres of its land to pay the  liabilities of the ailing public sector undertaking. The PCMC has proposed to acquire this land either through land acquisition by district collector or negotiation with the company.
